Thank you so much for your interest in the ConnecteDNA project. It would not be possible to carry out the research without people volunteering to take part.
We are currently looking for people to take part in an interview in any of the following groups:
- Donor conceived adults who have used, considered using, or been impacted by, online DNA testing
- Parents through donor conception who have searched, or considered searching, for, or unintentionally discovered, their child(ren)’s donor relatives via online DNA testing
- Sperm, egg or embryo donors who have searched, considered searching for, or unintentionally discovered, donor relatives via online DNA testing
We are planning to interview a total of 45-60 people in total (15-20 in each of these groups). It is important for our research that we speak to people from a range of backgrounds and with diverse experiences. In order to achieve this, we would appreciate you sharing a little information about yourself via this form. It should take less than 5 minutes to complete.
We will normally contact you witihin two weeks, via your preferred contact method, to arrange an interview. However, depending on how many enquiries we receive, we may have to decline some people's offers or it may be necessary to place some people on a waiting list. This is in order to ensure we talk to people with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. However, we will let you know as soon as possible if this is the case.
All information that you provide in this form will be stored securely in line with UK law (UK-GDPR) and will only be accessible to members of the research team, based at the University of Manchester (details of the project team are available on our project website).
Your information will be permanently deleted once we have finished interviewing people for this project (expected February 2023) or earlier if you contact us to request this. If, later on, you take part in an interview, we will permanently delete all the information you have submitted here apart from your name and contact details, which we will retain until the end of the project (expected February 2024) so we can contact you about your interview.
All information you provide here is entirely voluntary. If you would prefer not to answer one or more of the questions, please just leave the question blank.
If you have any questions about this questionnaire or the research in general, please don't hesitate to get in touch with Leah: email@example.com or Lucy: firstname.lastname@example.org
More information about the project is available on our website.
